Linda Elaine Johnson Hall, 56, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at her home in Savoy. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 18 at United Pentecostal Church in Savoy with Bro. Dale Stephens and Bro. Virgil Cornwell officiating.

Elaine was born on Dec. 3, 1952 in Brownsville, daughter of James (Johnny) Edward Johnson and Metta Doris Sharp Johnson. She married Billy D. Hall on June 4, 1973 in Henderson. Elaine was employed as a licensed vocational pediatric nurse. She loved fishing, camping in Colorado, raising animals and taking care of her family.

Surviving are her husband, Billy; daughters, Tammy Waymire and Stacy Wagoner of Bells, and Tracy Cathcart and husband Todd of Bells; brothers, George Robert Johnson and wife, Merlene of Anna, IL and Kenneth Myers of Bogalusa, LA.; sisters Metta Doris Johnson Blevins and husband, Darrell of Troup, Ann Johnson of Joplin, MO, Evelyn Dickson of Santa Barbara, CA and Patricia Crosby of Picayune, MS; brother-in-law, Calvin Hall and wife Laurie of Van Alstyne; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her son, Chad Anthony Hall; her parents; and her brothers, Wayne Johnson and Larry Myers.
