Linda Roe

Memorial services for Linda Gayle Roe, 74 of Sherman will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 25 at the First United Methodist Church in Tom Bean, Texas with Pastor Donny Haywood and her niece, Gaylene Chrystie officiating.

Linda passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman.

She was born on May 13th in Howe, Texas. the daughter of Herbert H. Smith and Gladys Rose Smith. She graduated Sherman High School where she lettered in Varsity Basketball. Linda married Johnny Roe Jr. on July 20th, 1963 in Sherman. She worked all of her life in the insurance business as a receptionist for Western & Southern and
later Harris, Blanton Insurance, all in Sherman.

Linda is survived by her children; son Danny Roe of Carrollton; daughter Dani Baze and husband Paul of Peachtree City, Ga. three grandchildren Tanner Baze, Ashton Baze and Austen Baze. She is also survived by her sister Betty Euler of Evansville, Indiana. She has numerous brothers in laws, sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins
and many great friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Johnny, her parents, her brothers Leslie Smith, Rodney Smith and sister, Genita Helvey.

Linda will always be remembered by her family and friends for her love, loyalty and generosity. She always wore a smile that was infectious. She adored her family and loved family gatherings. She also loved music, especially Elvis Presley and George Strait, along with rocking chairs, Fig Newtons and Dr. Peppers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Texoma Healthcare System and Home Hospice of Grayson County for their care.
