Linda "NeNe" Odell Spillers, 77 years old, of Sherman, TX, passed away Monday, January 6th, 2025 in Denison, TX.

She was born on November 2nd, 1947, in Sherman, the daughter of Carl Odell Meek Sr. and Betty (Jackson) Meek. She graduated from Sherman High School.

She worked in manufacturing as a machine operator. Her many hobbies included cake decorating and cooking, but her true joy was being a nanny and spending time with her grandkids.

NeNe strived to please others and always helped whenever she was asked. She was always a caregiver to many. She was always a fighter and survivor of many illnesses.

She married several times but was always meaner than her men. This was an ongoing joke within the family.

Her parents, Carl Odell Meek Sr and Betty Meek, and her sisters, Betty (Tootsie) Pettit, Sue Ragland, Mary Ann Probst, and Shirley Frailicks, were reunited with NeNe by death.

Surviving are her grandkids, Emily Schmickle, Ashley Probst, and Anna Hickman; great-grandkids, Emma, Harper, Saylor, Paxton, Peyton, Dawson, Annabelle, Addikus, and Scout; brothers, Carl Odell "Butch" Meek Jr and Billy Lee Meek.

NeNe was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm, on Friday, January 24th, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Brian Taylor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church will officiate.
