Linda passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. She was born in San Antonio, TX on January 4, 1947, to Barkley and Dorothy Foote.

Linda graduated from Providence HS in San Antonio, where she maintained contact with many former classmates and they enjoyed traveling together often. Linda graduated with her Master's in Education from East Texas State University in Commerce, TX, where she graduated with honors.

Linda spent her entire 31-year career working for Sherman ISD. She began as a Special Education teacher, then acquired her counselor's certification and became a school counselor in several elementary schools in the Sherman ISD area. Eventually, she acquired her administrator's certificate and became an assistant principal at Fred Douglas Learning Center, where she went on to become the principal, until retirement in 2011.

Linda was a lifelong Texas Rangers fan and proudly witnessed the Rangers World Series win in her lifetime. Linda loved to travel the world and visited many European countries with family and friends. She also visited countless places within the United States.

Linda is survived by her daughter Suzanne (Clayton) Wheeler; son, Steven; grandson Cody; ex-husband and lifetime friend and partner Ray; brother Timothy (Kim); sister-in-law Christine Foote and sister-in-law Janet Christal; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Barkley; mother, Dorothy; brother Brian and brother Kenneth.

A Celebration of Life will be held August 9, 2024, at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 N. Travis, Sherman, TX 75090 from 6 pm - 8 pm.
