IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lloyd Glenn
Fulton
December 8, 1941 – July 30, 2023
Glenn is rejoicing today in the presence of his Savior. He went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the age of 81. He is preceded in death by parents Lloyd Wesley and Sadie Keith Fulton, sister Martha Barger and brother Charles Fulton. He is survived by wife Virginia Jo Fulton; four children and their spouses: Donny (Amber), Susan, Sharon(Jason Crouch) and Tim (Stefanie); ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Lloyd "Glenn" Fulton was born December 7, 1941, in Durant, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Sadie Fulton. When he was a year old, his family moved to Cooper, Texas. Later in his life, the family moved to Garland, Texas. After graduating from Garland High School, Glenn attended the University of Texas in Arlington where he received his
Bachelor's degree. Glenn was a Certified Public Accountant and went on to work for several companies such as Reed Drill, Texas Instruments and MEMC in Sherman, TX. Glenn retired from MEMC in 1998.
In 1963, Glenn married the love of his life, Virginia "Jo" Bishop. Together they were blessed with four children. They lived in Arlington and then Garland, Texas before moving in 1972 to Howe, TX. All four of their children attended and graduated from Howe where Glenn was very involved in the local school district. Over the years he served as the treasurer for the Band Booster Club and as a trustee for the Howe School Board. Glenn and Virginia started attending the Sherman Church of the Nazarene in 1975 and are members till this day. Glenn served as church treasurer, Sunday School Secretary and as a Church Board Member for many years. He and Virginia also helped start the Lone Star Cowboy Church of the Nazarene.
Retiring from full time work in 1998, Glenn continued his CPA business until the Fall of 2020 when his health began to falter. Even though his health declined, he still enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
His family was a joy in Glenn's life. Since all four of his children were involved in the Howe High School Band, Glenn and Virginia went to 19 years of Howe football games, concerts, fundraisers, and competitions. His support for family continued with many years of attending events for his grandkids.
We rejoice with this faithful servant who has fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.
