Luz Idania Gamez (48), born in Chihuahua, Mexico on January 9,1978, and a longtime resident of Sherman, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Though her time on earth was far too short, her life was filled with compassion, strength, and unwavering love for those around her.

Luz was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Alvaro Gamez; her sons, Carlos, Kaden, and Julian; her daughters, Jacquelyn, Lizzbeth, Bella, Mya, and Ariana; her cherished grandchildren, Jesus and Jayleen; her sons-in-law, Jesus and Leonel; her daughter-in-law, Erika; her sister, Laura; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Irma, and father, Mundo.

Luz loved fiercely and cared for others unconditionally. Her selflessness, kindness, and strength touched everyone who knew her and will continue to live on through the family she loved so deeply. She wanted to be remembered for the love and care she gave to others, and that love will remain her greatest legacy.

Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment were her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Making memories with them and spending time together brought her endless happiness and was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

While her passing leaves a tremendous void, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been called home to be with Our Lord and Savior.
