A Funeral Mass for Marcial Moreno Plaza, 76 years old, of Sherman, will be held Friday, August 20 ^th , at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Sherman. He died Monday evening at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.

Mr. Plaza was born July 3, 1945 in Guanajuato, Mexico. He was the son of Jesus Arellano Plaza and Maria DeJesus Moreno. On April 30, 1965, he married Felipa Perez in Guanajuato. He was a truck driver delivering Coca Cola products in Mexico most of his adult life. After moving to Texas, Marcial worked for Ruiz Foods Products in Denison for 11 years. He was a devoted, hard-working member of the bakery team there and he loved to work. A kind and caring man, Marcial always had good things to say about his friends and co-workers. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Felipa of Sherman; a daughter, Maria Lourdes of Sherman; 6 sons, Geraldo Plaza, Antonio Plaza, both of Sherman, Jose Plaza, Jesus Plaza, Marcial Plaza Jr and Juan Pablo Plaza all of Guanajuato, Mexico. Also surviving are his sisters, Mercedes, Naty, Adala and Isabel; his brothers, Gonzalo, Andres and Martin; 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday evening at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel and a Rosary Service will follow at 7 pm.
