Lenora Marie Williams Carter, age 85, of Sherman, Texas passed away on April 24, 2024, in Sherman.

She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 25, 1938, the daughter of Lee Roy West and Nora Lee Blanton West.

Marie worked for IBM in Sherman as well as Longmont Colorado for 25 years before she retired. She loved hiking in the Colorado Mountains. Marie also worked for many years in the nursery in her Church.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Williams and wife Jeanie, daughter, Melinda Fuller and her husband Danny, five grandchildren, Josh Fuller and wife Pam, Matt Fuller and wife Cara, Kyle Fuller and Tara, Beau Williams and wife Sara and Lindsey Williams, great grandchildren, Eli, Stella, Maddie, Gideon, Aziriah Fuller, Ty and Ainsley Williams and Blake and Ryan Smith and Zoe Merrell. She is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 11:00 AM at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 29th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
