Mark Alexander Mora
Sherman-Mark Alexander Mora, 24, passed away surrounded by the loving presence of his family after a brave battle with cancer, and is now with our Lord.
Mark was born the youngest child to Gilbert Mora Jr. and Emma Barbosa Perez, on January 23, 1990 in Sherman, Texas. He graduated from Sherman High in 2008; attended Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas for one year; Grayson Community College for a year and a half; and finished at U.T. Dallas in April 2013. Mark worked very hard and received two degrees, a Bachelors of Science in Finance and a Business Administration. Mark made his family very proud.
Mark grew up in Sherman, Texas and was currently working with M. A. A. Property Management. Mark loved life, his job, friends and family. Mark was a true friend to many, a jokester at heart, a wonderful listener and a caring person. Mark will be remembered for his laughter, having fun, working hard, and always presenting his best.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandfather Salvador Barbosa-Herrera. He is survived by his grandparents, Graciela Perez de Barbosa, Gilberto Mora Sr. and Belia Mora; father, Gilbert Mora Jr.; mother, Emma Mora; sister Maribel Barbosa de Escamilla; brother- in- law, Oscar Escamilla; brother, Ruben Mora; sister- in- law, Samantha Mora; nephew and nieces, Rachel, Adrian, and Miranda; and also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
We lost a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, co-worker, friend and a wonderful example. Mark was a beautiful person with a giving heart, and we will celebrate his life at Waldo Funeral Home on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2:00pm-4:00pm. A rosary will be recited at 3:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00pm. Father Jeremy Myers will officiate.
