Marshall "Doc" Patterson, Jr. age 62 of Sherman formerly of Colbert, OK. ascended to his eternal home Thursday, May 11 th at Plano Medical Center following an extended illness.
Marshall was born to the union of the late Ludesta Turner Patterson, and Marshall F. Patterson Sr. He was a native of Colbert, Oklahoma.
Marshall, affectionately called "Doc" joined Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend E.D. Fields. He attended Colbert Public Schools. Marshall worked for Champion Coolers and Denison Industries until he was injured.
Doc loved to go out in nature, go fishing and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Marshall was proceeded in Death by both parents, His oldest son Shon, 2 brothers, Freddy Lynn Patterson and Chris Patterson, 1 sister Theresa Blanton. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Janice Chandler Patterson, 2 Daughters Shaunda Lane and Marrandy Patterson, 1 son, Marshall Franklin Patterson III. Sisters, Serlina White, Teresa Washington (James), Sharon Huey (Choyce), and Georgiana Malone. Brothers, Larry Brown, Terry Taylor (Jewell), Ronnie Wimbish (Subrena), Timouthy Babcock (Lisa), Howard Patterson, Henry Patterson (Roberta), Alvin Patterson, Calvin Patterson (Atura), Chung Wimbish (Monica), Jerry Blanton (Kathy), Michael Blanton (Tina), 8 grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A public visitation will be Friday, May 19 th from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M at Waldo Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 20 th at 11 A.M. in the Colbert High School auditorium – Colbert, OK. with Rev. Timothy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside cemetery Colbert, OK.
