Sherman—Graveside services for Martha Ann LaFoy will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, August 14, at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Rob Shepherd will officiate, and military honors will be rendered. Martha passed away on Monday, August 5, at Woodlands Place in Denison.

Born on January 23, 1943, in Sherman, Texas, Martha was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucille (Haney) LaFoy. From 1966 to 1968, she served as a MASH nurse in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following her military service, Martha continued her career as a registered nurse, dedicating her life to helping others until her retirement in 2008. She worked at Medical Plaza in Sherman until it closed, then continued her nursing career at TMC in Denison until she retired.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandy LaFoy.
