Mary Ellen Neal of Sherman, Texas passed away on the morning of April 8, 2023, at Celebrations Senior Living at the age of 93.  Mary Ellen was born September 11, 1929, in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of John Warren and Amanda Blanche (Miley) Clifton. She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School in Illinois where she met her husband of 51 years, Nathaniel Lindsay Neal.

Mary Ellen had a zest for life, she loved parties, dancing, and travel. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a long-time member of the First Christian Church, in Hurst, Mission, and McAllen, Texas. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Keith Morrison of Sherman, Texas and son and daughter-in-law Nathaniel and Alison Neal of Grapevine, Texas, four grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and brother-in-law., Richard Edwards of Vincennes, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Nathaniel, her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday April 16, 2023, 1:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Chapel in Sherman, Texas.  Rev. Rodney Sprayberry will officiate.
