IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Ray
Eoff
July 28, 1953 – May 14, 2023
Michael Ray Eoff, 69, joined his mother in Heaven on Mother's Day, May 14, 2023. He passed peacefully surrounded by his family in Denison, TX.
Mike was born on July 28, 1953 in McKinney, TX to Carlus Ray Eoff and Joyce Faye Moore Eoff. He graduated from Tom Bean High School in 1971. Mike is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dixie Taylor Eoff. He and Dixie married on Mike's birthday, July 28, 1978 in Sherman, TX. Mike is also survived by his brother, Alan (Peggy) Eoff of Missouri and their children Erika (Bill) Rylander and Ryan (Tara) Eoff; Mike's children, Misty (Sammy) Villarreal of Ennis, TX and Johnny (Nicole) Eoff of Sulphur Springs, TX; grandchildren, Kylie Franklin and Addison and Caleb Eoff; great-grandchildren Legend and Laker Littrell; and longtime family friend, Sharon Byrd.
Mike followed in Carlus's footsteps and worked for Oncor Electric Delivery (formerly Texas Power and Light and TXU) for 42 ½ years. Mike started his career in Sherman before transferring to Waxahachie where he and Dixie raised their family. After the children graduated from high school, Mike and Dixie relocated to Paris briefly before being relocated in McKinney where Mike retired in 2014. Throughout his career Mike was respected for his work ethic and devotion to his coworkers and company.
Family and friends were Mike's whole world. He was the man with all the answers. He was always there, a presence. There was no problem too big or too small. He enjoyed traveling and spending time in nature, but mostly he loved being with his friends and family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. Mike was also a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sherman, TX where he enjoyed volunteer work with Meals on Wheels.
Services will be held at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 North Travis Street, Sherman Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 pm, and the funeral will be Friday at 10 am officiated by Pastor Craig Sturm of Trinity Lutheran Church. Following the funeral, Mike will be laid to rest at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, TX. Pallbearers will be Johnny Eoff, Sammy Villarreal, Ryan Eoff, and Jimmy Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alan Eoff, Caleb Eoff and Legend Littrell. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Meals on Wheels.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Carlus and Joyce, brother-in-law, Tony Taylor, and grandson, Trey Sartin.
