Michael Longfellow passed from this life on September 6, 2023. Michael has left behind a legacy that will resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey. Michael was passionate about his family, his country, martial arts, photography, and acting. Those legacies will live on as we remember him.
Michael graced the stage as an actor, captivating audiences with his remarkable ability to fully immerse himself in the characters he portrayed. He saw life through not only the stage, but through his photography lens. He loved capturing moments of family, adventure, and nature.
Michael was devoted to karate, achieving his black belt honor through unwavering dedication and tireless training. He channeled his martial arts expertise into the betterment of others, generously giving back to the young minds within the dojo.
Michael felt a sense of duty to his country, where he proudly served in the National Guard. His selflessness and dedication to protecting the freedoms we hold dear are a testament to his patriotism and unwavering commitment to service.
In every facet of his life, Michael possessed a loving heart and a larger-than-life personality to match. We find solace in knowing that Michael has been welcomed into eternity by beloved family and friends, including his brother-in-law, Tracy Fleet, father-in-law, Roy Mullinax and mother-in-law, Joyce Mullinax. He is mourned by his devoted parents, Jack and Vivian Longfellow, and his brothers, Tom and Rob Longfellow, His wife of nearly 50 years, Marcy Longfellow. Along with Michael's daughter, Chanan Behrendt, whom held a special place in his heart. Michael is also fondly remembered by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

The family will receive friends at a Memorial Visitation, from 2-4 pm Sunday, September 10, at the Waldo Funeral Home Family Center.
