Nelda Vanneste passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born June 20, 1939 in Luella Texas to Colquit and Pearl Orr. She graduated from Southmayd High School in 1957, married and had three sons. She lived in Sherman, TX. and worked in retail at Gibson's and TG&Y.

Nelda was a loving mother and enjoyed spoiling her three sons, vacationing at Lake Texoma Lodge, Sunday drives, camping, reading a good book, and loved her animals.

Nelda is survived by her brother Gene Orr, her son Robert Vanneste & wife Marliece, son Ron Vanneste  & wife Karen, son Randy Vanneste & partner John Scott.  She leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held 4:00 PM until 6:00PM on Thursday, December 7th at Waldo Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 8th at the Luella Cemetery in Luella, TX.
