Nettie Pritchett, of Sherman, Tx, passed away at her home Saturday, September 2nd, at 6:35 am, with her son, Andy and sister, Jennie by her side.
Nettie was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, to William and Eula (Hill) Floyd. She was one of nine children. She graduated from Guntown High School. She later moved to Sherman. There she attended Grayson County Junior College. She was employed by Texas Instruments for 25 years, where she was a supervisor.
Nettie was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman and faithfully attended the Well Church for as long as her health allowed.
Nettie was a kindhearted person that would help anyone in need. She was a very happy and outgoing person. She had numerous friends with whom she'd shared friendships with for over 50 years. She enjoyed going shopping, playing dominos, attending Bible study, going to friend's birthday parties, and going out to eat with her friends.
Those left to honor Nettie's memory are her son, Andy Pritchett of Sherman; granddaughter, Lydia Inboden, and her husband Eric of Dallas; great granddaughters, Emma Inboden, and Scarlett Inboden both of Dallas. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Wren, Eloise Underwood, and Jennie Ryland, all of Baldwyn, MS; one brother, Meril Floyd and his wife Reba of Saltillo, MS; and many other family members that she loved dearly.
Nettie was preceded in death by a son, John Pritchett, whom she loved and missed so much; three sisters, Myrtie Brown, Betty Stanford, and Daisy Cook, all from Mississippi; four nephews and five brother in laws.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 6, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman, Tx.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 6, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend James Moore will officiate. Interment will be immediately following at Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
