Noble Edward Goodwin

December 7, 1943 – November 24, 2023

Noble Edward Goodwin, age 79, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 7, 1943, in Camden, Arkansas, the eldest child and only son of Boyett Noble Goodwin and Ida Mae Garner Goodwin.

Noble was a man of unwavering loyalty and faithfulness. He dedicated 28 years of his career to Houston Pipeline Company (Enron) and an additional 14-15 years to Coastal Flow Corporation. His dedication extended beyond the workplace, as he was a faithful member of the Royalwood Pentecostal Church for nearly six decades, serving in various capacities until 2020. In that year, Noble and his wife Linda relocated to Sherman, Texas, to be closer to their eldest son due to Noble's declining health. He became a member of The Refuge Church in Denison, Texas, leaving an indelible mark on both congregations.

Noble's gentle nature and welcoming spirit endeared him to all who crossed his path. He rarely met a stranger and was known for his kindness and genuine interest in others. Noble's devotion to his family was unparalleled. He and Linda celebrated 61 years of marriage, sharing a deep bond of love and friendship. They built a life and a family together, leaving a legacy that will endure for generations.

In addition to his beloved wife Linda, Noble is survived by his daughter Rebecca Lynn Mullins, his son Larry Edward Goodwin and wife Rosana, his son Kevin DeWayne Goodwin and wife Lawna. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Brandy Kennedy and husband Phillip, Chaz Goodwin and wife Erika, Gabriela Haraldsen and husband Erik, Alaina Goodwin, Grant Goodwin, and Katie Dotson, as well as eight great-grandchildren, Parker Kennedy, Mason Kennedy, Abigail Kennedy, Asher Haraldsen, Avereigh Goodwin, Oakley Haraldsen, Harper Goodwin, and Whitley Goodwin. The family would also like to acknowledge Noble's bonus family from Uganda, Gavin and Vivian Atuhaire and Grandpa's baby girl, Essence. Many other family members, friends and those who were counted as family are also left to cherish his memory.

Noble was preceded in death by his parents, Boyett Noble and Ida Mae Goodwin, his granddaughter Chelsea Layne Goodwin, his great-granddaughter Katelynn Mae Kennedy, his brother-in-law Bill Curby, and his sister Brenda Curby.

Noble Edward Goodwin will be remembered as a faithful husband, loving father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, dedicated church member, loyal employee, and a man of prayer. His enduring impact on the lives of those around him will be forever cherished and celebrated.
