Sherman- Funeral services for Pansy Sue Scott will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday October 12 in the Waldo Funeral Chapel. Steve Kimberlin of Sherman will officiate. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery with Matthew Tadlock, Aaron Marshall, Jon Floyd, Don Floyd, Tom Floyd, and Derrik Pointevant serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Scott, 62, passed away Saturday October 8 at the Medical Center of Lewisville.

Pansy was born October 2, 1949 in Muleshoe, Texas to the late Vernon and Claudia (Crossland) Cantrell. She married Micky D. Scott on November 17, 1975 in Dimmitt, Texas. Pansy worked as a nurse at Heritage Country Manor Nursing Home for many years before declining health forced an early retirement. Pansy will be remembered as a loving and kind person who always put the happiness of her friends and family ahead of her own.

Mrs. Scott is survived by two daughters, Trina Scott-Tadlock and her husband Matthew of Denton and Chastidy Scott and husband Jon Floyd of Copeville, Texas; one son, Micky Scott, Jr and wife Juanita Salas of Quinlan, Texas; four grandchildren, David Scott, Vicky Scott, Zachery Scott, and Ayreonnah Scott; eight sisters; four brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister-in-law, Vickie Haley.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM on Wednesday at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
