Sunday, December 1, 2024, Pastor C.E. Evans left his earthly house and as the door closed behind him, there was a tender whisper….then the gates of peace opened wide and a soft voice called him from his life of labor and said unto him, "Clarence Edward Evans, your work here on this earth is now finished…come Home to me and receive your everlasting rest."

A public visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2024, from 3 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church, 601 W. Bond St., Denison, Texas.

The Homegoing Celebration will also be at Hopewell Baptist Church on Saturday, December 7, 2024, beginning at 11 o'clock A.M. where he was the pastor for many, many years.  Rev. Corey Battle will officiate.

The sacred rites and committal ceremony will follow immediately at Fairview Cemetery, 1501 Hwy 91 North, Denison, Texas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to his long-time friend James E. Smith and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home of Sherman.
