Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Lankford, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Patricia left this world peacefully on April 16, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born on April 8, 1952, in Leonard, Texas, the cherished daughter of the late William (Bill) and Mary Allison.

Patricia's early years were spent in Trenton, where she was raised with love and guidance by her parents. Their nurturing spirit helped shape the compassionate and warm-hearted woman she became. Patricia's life was a testament to the values instilled in her by Bill and Mary, who preceded her in death, as did her beloved husband, Charles Ray Lankford.

In a small ceremony in Trenton, Texas, on July 2, 1971, Patricia married her soulmate, Charles. Their union was one of unwavering devotion and laughter, spanning 29 beautiful years until Charles' passing. Together, they built a loving family, raising two remarkable children and creating countless cherished memories.

Patricia's life was centered around her family, as she devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother, nurturing her children with the same love her parents had shown her. Later, she pursued her passion for beauty and connection as a talented hairdresser, bringing smiles and confidence to many through her work.

Patricia is survived by her dear brother, Phillip Allison, and his wife, Linda, who were both steadfast pillars of support throughout her life. Her legacy continues through her children, Jason Lankford and his wife Christy, and Amy Lankford Hertel and her husband David, who carry forward her spirit of kindness and warmth.

Patricia was a proud grandmother to Marisa Lankford, who was the light of her life. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and god-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her generosity and love.

A family night for Patricia will be held on April 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Dorchester Baptist Church, located at 11831 FM 902 in Dorchester, Texas. Family, friends, and all whose lives Patricia touched are warmly invited to gather and honor her memory. As we say our farewells, we remember Patricia as a beacon of love and a woman whose grace and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Patricia Lankford's life was a testament to love, family, and faith. Her legacy is one of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.
