It is with heavy but joyful hearts that we announce the home going of Patricia Ann Rogers, who was faithfully called home into the presence of Jesus on December 16, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born on October 28, 1936, Pat lived a life defined by wisdom, kindness, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and cherished friend, to all who knew her.

Pat accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Inglewood Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Texas, where she was baptized alongside her girls on Mother's Day. She often spoke of God's faithfulness in her life, saying "God has always taken care of me since the very day I was born."

Pat had a lifelong passion for the Colorado mountains, where she camped many times with her husband, Jim and her three daughters, Pam, Martha and Sandy.

Pat is preceded in death by her father, Lillard Sanders, her mother, Ruby Owen's Sanders, and five of her eight siblings Morris Overton, Donald Sanders, Dixie Bond, Gloria Dean Roberts, and Verlin Sanders as well as her beloved husband of 47 years, James Rogers (wed on September 28, 1962).

She is survived by her siblings Wanda Tharp, Gene Sanders, and Barbara Stubbs, her three children, Pam (Mike) Gonzales, Martha (John) Bercen, and Sandra (Glenn) Smith, her six grandchildren, James McLemore, Joseph Bercen, Jessica (Bradley)Thompson, Nathaniel (Hailie) Smith, Darcy (Luke) Pecoraro, and Luke Smith, and her only great grandchild Cooper Smith.

Celebrations of Patricia's life will be held during a visitation on December 19 from 6 to 8 PM and a funeral service on December 20 at 11 AM. Both events will be held at first Baptist Church of Plano (3665 W. President George Bush Highway, Plano, TX, 75075).

Even though Pat will be missed greatly, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace resting in the arms of the Lord Jesus.
