Patrick “Pat” Joseph Summerville, 65, sailed off into eternity surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Pat was born February 7, 1961, in Racine, Wisconsin. He spent his youth growing up in Irving, Tx. Started his family in Lake Charles, La. In 2017 he finally settled in Denison, Tx. He was a boat captain for over 40 years and was known for his eagerness to help others, work ethic, and wicked sense of humor. He enjoyed being out on the open water, racing vintage cars, and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children Benjamin Miller (Amanda), Darlena Buller (Matt), Christopher Summerville, Candace Abshire, and LaRae Terro (Kyle), and his six beloved grandchildren, father Arthur Summerville (Jan), brother Arthur Summerville Jr (Nancy), sisters Bobbie Peterson Cate (Kevin), Monique Belzung, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Cynthia Summerville, mother Beth Summerville, and stepmother Mary Jo Summerville.

A memorial service for close friends and family will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 4, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sherman, Tx.

Donations to honor his memory may be given to Race Against Kids Cancer and the Morgan Adams Foundation.
