Obituary

Graveside services for Paul Griffin will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 22 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Rev. Cass French will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Food and fellowship with the Griffin family will follow at 3:00 pm at the Mirick Avenue Church of Christ at 2800 S. Mirick Ave, Denison, Texas. Mr. Griffin passed away Tuesday, November 18 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center at the age of 63.

Paul was born on June 7, 1945 in Denison, Texas to the late Stangel and Hazel (Day) Griffin. He worked as a plumber in the Sherman area for over 40 years. Paul owned and operated Griffin Plumbing for the last 30 years and had continued to work with his son Mark until his unexpected death. Mark continues to run Griffin Plumbing. Paul had also been an owner of the Grayson County Gunslingers, a semi-pro football team in the area and had been active with the Boy Scouts of America as an assistant scoutmaster.

Mr. Griffin, affectionately known as ?PaPa? by his family, is survived by four sons, Gary Griffin of Sherman, Steve Griffin of Sherman, Gregory Griffin and his wife Penny of Randolf, and Mark Griffin and wife Jennifer of Westminster; one brother, Cloyce Griffin of Pottsboro; one sister, Zuella Stumpf of Powderly; and six grandchildren, Stuart, Steven, Hayden, Hannah, Brandon, and Brooke.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday at Waldo Funeral Home. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
