Paula Stoner

Sherman- Funeral services for Paula P. Stoner will held at 10:30 am Tuesday, June 10 in the First United Methodist Church of Sherman. Dr. Jim Pledger and Dr. Tom Peel of the church will officiate. Burial will follow at 4:00 pm Tuesday in Gordon, Texas. The ?Doughboys? of First Methodist will serve as honorary pallbearers. Paula passed away Friday, June 6 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center at the age of 80.

Paula was born on January 4, 1928 in Gordon, Texas to the late Walter Paul Pitts and Manila (Ramsey) Pitts. She graduated from Gordon High School in 1945 and attended business college in Fort Worth. On December 24, 1946, Paula married Herman Stoner in the Methodist Parsonage in Gordon. Mrs. Stoner was a devoted homemaker and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Sherman.

Mrs. Stoner is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herman Stoner of Sherman; two daughters, Susan Dee Price and husband Bobby of Stephenville and Vickie Lee Price and husband Charles of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Katie and David Price of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Marguerite Price of Fort Worth and Helen Miller and her husband Dean of Northridge, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church at 401 N. Elm, Sherman, TX 75090 or the charity of the donor's choice. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
