Olive Dorothy ?Polly? Edghill, 88, of Sherman, TX passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Homestead of Sherman Nursing Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

She was born on October 5, 1919, in New York City, NY the daughter of Malcolm and Olive West. Polly married John L. Edghill on April 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1989. She was a longtime member of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Sherman, the Sherman Garden Club and the Amicitia Club.



Polly is survived by her son Richard Edghill and wife Cathy of Collinsville, TX, daughter Anne Ice and husband Mike of Rowlett, TX, four grandchildren, Natalie Autrey and husband James of Rowlett, TX, Nathan Ice and wife Suzanna of Dallas, TX, Mallory Edghill of Denton, TX , Ryan Edghill of Denton, TX and one great grandchild Evan Autrey. She is also survived by her brother Dr. Edward West, M.D. and wife Barbara of State College, PA, sister Nancy Thompson of Mill Hall, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Bob Edghill.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
