Preston Parrish, a lifelong resident of Grayson County, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2026.
Preston was a devoted Christian, loving husband, proud father, dedicated son and brother, and loyal friend. He lived life with an adventurous spirit, a contagious smile, and a personality that drew people to him. His kindness, sense of humor, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He graduated from Tom Bean High School in 1996 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tarleton State University in 2000. Following graduation, Preston joined the family-owned business, Johnson Burks Plumbing Supply Co. in Sherman, where he faithfully served alongside his family throughout his career.
For 20 years, Preston shared a beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Jennifer. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and making memories with their children, Paxton and Preslie. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. Every year included a trip to the beach and the mountains, creating traditions and memories that will be treasured forever.
Preston worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always putting their needs before his own and ensuring they had everything they needed. His greatest joy was watching Paxton and Preslie compete in their sporting events. He was their biggest supporter, never missing the chance to cheer them on. His children describe him as funny, unique, and endlessly supportive. Beyond being an exceptional father, Preston welcomed his children’s friends with open arms and treated them as if they were his own, offering encouragement, guidance, and life lessons they will carry with them always.
Preston is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Jennifer Parrish; his children, Paxton Parrish (17) and Preslie Parrish (15); his parents, Jesse and Peggy Parrish of Luella, Texas; his sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Brian Bartlett of Robinson, Texas; and his nieces, Elizabeth Rivera (18) and Kathryn Rivera (16).
Preston will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous heart, adventurous spirit, infectious laughter, and unconditional love for his family.
