Randy Wayne Kirk, age 66, of Denison, Texas, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on June 26, 2026. He was born on October 26, 1959, in Friona, Texas, to Harvey Daymond Kirk and Purine Jean Kirk. On August 18, 1979, Randy married his soulmate, Edwina Nelson Kirk. Together, they built a life grounded in faith, family, and unwavering love, sharing nearly 47 beautiful years of marriage. Randy was a graduate of Marietta High School and later attended Southern Oklahoma Technology Center, where he earned his degree as a diesel mechanic. He dedicated 32 years of service to Texas Instruments as a highly skilled technician. In addition to his career, Randy faithfully served his community for 30 years as a volunteer firefighter and certified EMT with the Gunter Volunteer Fire Department—a role he deeply cherished. Randy will be remembered for his strong faith, quick sense of humor, kind heart, and servant’s spirit. He was a mentor to many and a steady presence in times of need, always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether responding to emergencies or repairing something for a neighbor or friend, Randy was someone people could count on. Despite his many talents and contributions, he remained humble and never sought recognition. Above all, Randy loved his family. His greatest joy in life was being a father and especially a “Papa.” He treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, often taking his grandsons fishing, hiking, and bike riding. These memories will be cherished forever by those who love him most. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Purine Kirk; his parents-in-love, Ed and Linda Nelson; his brother, Michael Kirk; his sister, Doris Kirk; and his grandchild, Collins Ray Kirk. He is survived by his loving wife, Edwina Kirk of Denison; his daughter, Elizabeth Reeves and husband Steven of Luella; his daughter, Heather Kirk of Denison; and his son, Edwin Kirk of Denison. He is also survived by his honorary children: Cynthia Shaver and spouse Zack, D.J. Pyles and spouse Erica, Amanda Williams and spouse Josh, Justin Burns and spouse Krystin, AJ Schmidt, Nikki and Jason Meckem, and Tanya Lusk. Randy’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren: Daymond “Cody” Kirk and significant other Brooklynn Elkins of Denison; Lucas Reeves and fiancée Sierra Jenkins; and Wayne and Jacob Reeves of Luella. He is also lovingly remembered by his honorary grandchildren: Stormmie and Peyton Lusk, Kyndell Mitchell, Ethan Halpain, Kevin Trinos, Trinity Miller, and many others. He is further survived by his brother, Rickey Kirk of Bonham; his sister, Sharon Sparks of Bonham; his sisters- and brother-in-love, Bryan and Tracy Burns of Denison, and Kris and Dan Pyles of Sherman; along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply. All who knew Randy will cherish his memory. A Family Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1st from 6-8 p.m. at Waldo’s Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 2nd starting at 3 p.m. at Joshua’s Crossing. Randy will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his unwavering love, his kindness, and his willingness to help others—whether he knew them or not.
