Ray Meador, 83yrs, passed away Monday October 9, 2017 in Sherman. Visitation will be held Saturday 11-1pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Sherman, funeral service will begin at 1pm October 21, 2017. Pastor Frank Drenner will officiate. Burial will take place at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman.

He was a long-time member of Grace United Methodist Church in Sherman.

Ray was born in Dallas July 24. 1934 to the late Joe Meador and Lovena (Dalton) Meador. Ray retired from the U.S. Army after twenty years, and ended his second career of eighteen years with Wilson N. Jones working in Central Supply. He was a member of The Vietnam Veteran of America Chapter 973 in Sherman. Ray loved to play golf, coach little league, watch game shows, and play 62.

Ray is survived by his wife, Gayle Meador of Sherman; daughter, Libby Triolet and husband Jay of Plano, TX; son, Jim Park of Port Mansfield, TX; son, Larry Meador and wife Peggy of Salinas, CA; daughter, Margaret Jo Plain and husband David of Lewisville, TX; sister, Anne Harris and husband Eli of Mesquite, TX; brother John Meador and wife Sharon of Waxahachie, TX; sister in-law, Janet Long of Richardson, TX; grandchildren, Mark Triolet, Steven Triolet, Patsy Park; great grandchildren, Ryan Triolet, Lauren Triolet, and Madison Triolet.
