(1949-2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca (Becky) Ann Ferrier Coolman, 75-year-old resident of Sherman, she went to be with her Lord on October 19th at Sherman Medical Center.
Rebecca was born in Winnfield, La on August 3, 1949, to Heyman and Georgia Ferrier. She graduated from Verda High School. She married Randall Coolman in Montgomery, La on August 18, 1967.
Rebecca worked at various retail stores throughout her career, but her primary job was Mom and Mama to her children and grandchildren. She loved her church family and was a faithful follower of Christ, she exemplified love, grace, and compassion in all her interactions. She was an active member of Loving Baptist Church.
Rebecca loved her beautiful family and took pride in them. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Randall Coolman; daughter Melinda Burkholder and husband Chris; daughter Randi Smith and husband Rick. Grandchildren: Amanda Morris and husband Matt, Bailey Fuxa and husband Nick, Mackenzie Compton and husband Tanner, Kelly Verret and husband Josh. Great Grandchildren: Kasyn Morris, Levi Morris, Everly Compton, Wren Compton, and soon to arrive Mia Compton. Brothers: Herbert Ferrier and wife Karen, and Gary Ferrier. Sisters: Bettye Wall, Annette Maxwell and husband Lee, Sherry Dickerson and husband Dicky. Numerous nieces and nephews, Sisters-in-law Rita Rachal, Joyce Dubois, and Brother-in-law Johnny Coolman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers-in-law Houston Wall, Bill Coolman, and Bobby Coolman.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm at Loving Baptist Church on Sunday November 10th, 2024.
Rebecca will be deeply missed but not forgotten. Her spirit and the memories she created will live on in our hearts.
