IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rebecca Lynn
Mullins
January 28, 1964 – April 6, 2025
Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Mullins, born Rebecca Lynn Goodwin on January 28, 1964, in Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Pottsboro, Texas, at the age of 61.
Becky was a quiet and unassuming soul whose kindness touched everyone she met. She was deeply rooted in her faith and found great joy and strength in her church community. For the past five years, she rarely missed a Sunday service at The Refuge Church in Denison, Texas, where she formed lasting friendships and found spiritual fulfillment.
She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Linda Goodwin; daughters Brandy Kennedy and her husband Philip, and Katie Dotson; grandchildren Parker, Mason, and Abigail Kennedy; brothers Larry and his wife Rosana, and Kevin and his wife Lawna; nephews Chaz Goodwin and his wife Erika, and Grant Goodwin; nieces Gabriela Haraldsen and her husband Erik, and Alaina Goodwin; great-nephew Asher Haraldsen; great-nieces Avereigh, Harper, and Whitley Goodwin, and Oakley Haraldsen. Becky also held a special place in her heart for Gavin, Vivian, and Essence Atuhaire. She will be fondly remembered by her aunts Melba Hicks and Ruthie Taylor as well as many cherished cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Noble Goodwin; daughter Chelsea Layne; granddaughter Katelynn Mae Kennedy; grandparents Noble and Ida Mae Goodwin and Lannis and Dorothy Taylor; and aunt and uncle Brenda and Bill Curby.
Becky deeply loved family traditions—Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving—each one marked with anticipation that began weeks in advance. Her endearing persistence ensured that no birthday or special occasion ever went unnoticed. She had an uncanny ability to remember every important date on the calendar and ensured everyone else did, too.
Her meticulous nature extended to all aspects of life: appointments were never missed, medications were taken on time to the minute, showers followed a strict schedule, and bedtime routines were sacred. Her devotion to structure could wear you down—but it was also part of what made Becky so uniquely herself.
A woman of simple pleasures, Becky enjoyed word search puzzles and crosswords. She was an avid fan of the Game Show Network and especially loved watching Law & Order: SVU. During the holiday season, Hallmark Christmas movies brought her immense joy.
Becky was known for being a hard worker—a loyal employee who gave her best each day— and a steadfast friend who could always be counted on. Her gentle spirit left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know her.
A funeral service honoring Becky's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at The Refuge Church located at 2223 W Morton St., Denison, Texas 75020. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
May Rebecca's memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
