Rickey was born November 28, 1949 in Bonham, Texas to Gerald and Betty (McCormack) Odum and passed from this life on January 24, 2017 in Sherman at the age of 67.

Rickey grew up and graduated from Sherman High School in 1968. He lived in California for 20 years where he was a singer/songwriter. He also managed convenience stores in Los Angeles. Rickey came back to Sherman and worked as a store manager.

Rickey enjoyed music, riding his bicycle, and loved watching movies. He was an avid reader, a huge animal lover, and most he loved spending time with his pride and joy, his daughter Landyn, she was his everything.

Rickey was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Odum, and brother-in-law, Duane Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Ami of Sherman; daughter, Landyn Lynn Odum of Sherman; stepson, Hunter Narramore of Tom Bean; mother, Betty Odum of Sherman; sisters, Debbie Davis of Sherman, Kimberly McLellan and husband David of Alabama, and Lory Schulz of Denison; several nieces and nephews, and daddy's "little sausage girl," his schnauzer, Kita bear.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, Jan. 27, at Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Pastors John Reynolds and Charles Morris officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Thursday, Jan. 26, at Waldo Funeral Home.
