Ricky Wayne Atkins, 65, of Sadler, Texas gained his angel wings at home with his loving family beside him on February 28th, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1957, in Sherman, Texas to Jerry Alton Atkins and Virginia Ruth Kenner. Ricky married Robbin Edwards on June 30, 2017, in Durant, Oklahoma. They shared 16 wonderful years together watching their children and grandchildren grow.

Ricky was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend to all. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden. Ricky grew tons of fruits and vegetables to share with all his friends and family. He had a strong faith and stood firm in his beliefs. Ricky was very supportive of his children and grandchildren and spoke of them often. He was the rock of the family and a friend to all.

Ricky is proceeded in death by his father Jerry Alton Atkins, and his daughter Lamanda Jo Atkins.

Ricky is survived by his wife Robbin Atkins of Sadler; daughter Brittany Perry and husband Brandon Perry of Howe Tx, daughter Jessica Pio and husband Sergio Pio of Howe, Tx; 2 granddaughters Kenzi and Kylie Perry and 3 grandson Aingel, Isaac, and Noah Pio. Sister Rikki Davis, husband Jerry Davis of Van Alstyne, and brother Jeff Atkins, wife Julie Atkins of Weston Tx.

Burial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday morning March 3, 2023, at Sadler Cemetery, in Sadler, TX.

Instead of food donations to the home, we're asking for all donations to go towards the American Cancer Society to help others, like Ricky survive and overcome this awful disease.
