IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Lane
Baker
October 8, 1951 – February 26, 2024
Robert L. Baker (Bob), a loving son, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on February, 26th surrounded by his family. His journey began in Massachusetts, where he was born to Stanley and Jean Baker, but it was in Texas where he found his true home over three decades ago. Still, he remained a dedicated fan of Boston sports teams.
Although holding many jobs in his life, he retired after 21 years from Auto Zone, where his project manager role brought him to hundreds of locations across the US.
Bob loved his family and his two loyal German Shepherds, Ava and Tess. The local parks and cul-de-sac where he lived became their sanctuaries where he made many dear friends. He was a skilled woodworker, who enjoyed building furniture for his family.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his five children and their spouses—Kate and Tim, Allison and Bobby, Jarrod, Corey and Traci, and Ryan and Belinda, nine grandchildren- Jordan, Ryan Jr., Nate, Cody, Tyler, Kaylee, Aidan, Trey and Lexi, and one great grandchild, Ellianna, who carry his spirit forward. Bob was loved by his siblings and their spouses, Bruce and Karen, Steven and Robin, Janet and Richard as well as many nieces and nephews.
In honoring Bob's wishes, no formal services will be held.
