Obituary

Robert passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at his home after fighting a hard battle with cancer.

He was born on March 20, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas and grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. After graduating college, he served over 20 years in the U.S. Army in the 12th Special Forces Group (Green Beret, Airborne) SFC as an A-Team Senior Weapons Leader. Robert was a rancher, entrepreneur, and business owner. He owned and operated the Texas Pistol Academy for over 30 years. He had a passion for building and racing Hot Rod Gasser race cars. He was a proud member of the Dirty South Gassers Racing Association.

Those who knew Robert knew he was full of life and never met a stranger. Robert is the son of Floriene Duhon and Evans Duhon. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Olga Duhon of Whitewright, Texas, sisters Cheryl Cortese and Mary Duhon, sons Joshua and Jerrod Duhon.
