Roberto
Rivera
May 10, 1944 — Jun 20, 2026
Sherman
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roberto Rivera on June 20, 2026, at the age of 82.
Today we celebrate the life of a man who was known, loved, celebrated, and remembered by nearly everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He left an impression wherever he went, not because he tried to, but because his personality was impossible to ignore.
Roberto was a man of strong character outspoken and unapologetically himself. Those same qualities were balanced by a contagious sense of humor with a smile to match and a love for dancing that could bring life to any room. He loved telling stories and creating memories that would be cherished for years to come. He carried himself with pride, confidence, and style, always believing in looking his best wherever he went. Beneath his tough exterior was a man who loved deeply, especially his family and embraced every year he was given.
Roberto was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Guadalupe Luna de Rivera and Juan Rivera Reyes, as well as his siblings Irma Rivera, Beatriz Rivera, Raul Rivera, Jorge Rivera, Jorgito Rivera, Rogelio Rivera, and Hermelinda Rivera.
He is survived by his children, Roberto Rivera, Haidee Hadarri, and Rosalinda Sanford, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was a devoted and loving grandfather to Axel Hernandez, Aman Hadarri, Jessenia Rivera, Vincente Rivera, Lou Sanford, and Leon Sanford, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He is also survived by his siblings Juan Rivera, Silvia Rivera, Guadalupe Rivera, Maria Teresa de Jesus Rivera, and Salvador Rivera, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
That is how he will be remembered: a man of strength, laughter, love, and an unforgettable spirit whose legacy will live on in the stories, smiles, and memories shared by those who knew and loved him.
Honouring his personal wishes the family will not be holding a formal viewing or service we ask that you honor his memory through your thoughts and prayers.
