The Broken Chain

We little knew that day,

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death, we do the same.

It Broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you.

The day god called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

your love is still our guide.

And although we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same,

But as god calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.

RJ was brave loving and kind. He was deeply devoted to his wife and children. Everyone he met was very fortunate to have him in their lives. RJ faced every challenge and stressful situation head on. He always told his kids that things would be okay and to not worry. His priority was for others not to worry. When he found out his wife had lupus, he told her things would be okay and trusted God. He never told her anything negative or let her get down about her health. RJ focused on the good and pushed forward. We all remember his bright smile and the excitement he would bring to the room. That joy will always be with us when we think of him.

Funeral services for Roemont Johnson will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 in the Hopewell Baptist Church, Denison at 2:00 PM. Rev. C.E. Evans will officiate with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Roemont transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life early Friday morning in Allen, Texas at the age of 62 following a short illness.

Public visitation will be Sunday February 10, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.
