Roger was a lifelong resident of Grayson County. He grew up in the Gunter community and graduated high school in 1955. Roger worked tirelessly to provide and give his loving wife Dortha and daughter all that life offered. Roger loved and enjoyed his grandkids and loved his baseball. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, and was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church.

Welcoming him to his eternal home were his parents, sisters Nelda Davis and Vera Davis Turner, and brother Don Davis.
