A Time to Be Born
Ronald Eric Luper began his time on this earth in Blue Creek, Texas with his grandmother, Rosa Luper. On March 16, 1961, he was born to David Clyde Smith and Tommie L. Luper. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1979.
A Time to Work and Serve
Ronald was brought up in the Methodist faith at Independent Springs CME for many years. Ronald was a faithful member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, serving on the Usher Board, Trustee Board as president for many years, and Pastor's Armor Bearer.
A Time to Die
On September 29, 2023, Ronald went home to be with his Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his father David Clyde Smith, grandparents Rosa Luper, O.V. Luper Sr., sister Kimberly Luper, nephew Jason Luper, uncles James Luper, O.V. Luper Jr., Robert Luper, and aunts Ruby Gailes, Elnora Hughes.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Tommie Cross, brothers Curtis Luper, Nicklous Coleman, sisters Stephanie Luper, Angela Bobo, Keisha Cross, and faithful friend Debbie Boyd.
A public visitation will be Thursday, October 5th from 5PM to 8PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 6th at 11 A.M. at Progressive Baptist Church, 1101 E Houston St, in Sherman with Rev. Craig Davis officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
