Ronald Wayne Uselton, passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 77 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on October 29, 1948 in Fort Worth, Texas, the child of Barney and Pauline Uselton. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1967 and went on to earn a degree of Arts and Speech from the University of Texas at Arlington, a Masters of Arts from Texas Christian University. He eventually obtained a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University. He was proud of being board certified in Civil Trial Law.

He practiced as an attorney for over forty years. Outside of being an attorney, he was proud of his teaching career. He taught Paralegal classes, as well as Speech and Debate at Emporia State University, Grayson College and Southeastern University. He also loved teaching Sunday School. He will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, and a generous spirit. He was a life long Parrot Head, winning a Jimmy Buffett writing competition.

He is survived by son John Uselton and daughter Laura Uselton. He was preceded in death by his beautiful beloved wife of 52 years, Beth and his parents Barney and Pauline.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 am , located at First United Methodist Church at 401 North Elm Street in Sherman, Texas. All are welcome to attend.
