Ronald (Ron) Eugene Wagemann, 72, of Sherman, Texas passed away peacefully at Traditions on August 6th, 2025.
Ron was born on January 7th, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri to Richard and Marie Wagemann. Ron graduated from Billings High School in 1971. After high school he successfully completed the Accounting program from Draughon Mid-America Business College. He served in the Headquarters 142nd Transportation Aircraft Battalion for the Missouri National Guard. Ron had a successful career in transportation for over 30 years.
He loved to golf, was a loyal Dale Earnhardt Sr/Nascar fan and could smoke some delicious barbecue. His kindness and loyalty to others, his wit and warm smile, and his undying love for his family left a lasting impression on all.
Ron is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rebecca Wilson Wagemann; daughters Jamie(Casey) Bell of Shawnee, OK; Jennifer Chaloupka of Houston, TX; son Travis Douglas of Sherman, TX; sister Marsha Reinert of Lowell, AR; brother John(Debbie) Wagemann of Republic, MO; father-in-law Tom Wilson of Sherman, TX; sister-in-law Kimberly Smith of Sherman, TX; grandchildren: Addie & Ava Bell, Gavin & Grayson Chaloupka, and Willow Douglas; numerous nephews and nieces.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law Helene Wilson, brother-in-law Jerry Reinert, and grandchildren: Avery & Jackson Chaloupka and Layton Douglas.
Viewing will be Wednesday, August 13th, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, TX.
A memorial service will take place Thursday, August 14th at 10:00 am at North Park Baptist Church, Sherman, TX. There will be an opportunity to visit with the family directly following the service.
The family would like to thank those that prayed and supported Ron during his last few years. To the caregivers at Traditions and Hospice + thank you for your compassionate care and love for Ron.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to North Park Baptist Church Student Ministry Scholarship.
