Roy Gene Taylor, 70 years old, of Denison, passed from this life February 13, 2023.

He was born October 11, 1952, in Sherman, a son of Robert Raymond and Velta Marie (Hill) Taylor. He was a graduate of Sherman High School and attended Grayson County College.

He was a truck driver for many years working for Hoenig Trucking in Gainesville, Texas.

Gene was a member of Green Oaks Baptist Church in Temple, Tx.

He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, Bobby and Wayne, playing golf.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wayne Taylor, a sister Sharon White, and a nephew Greg Taylor.

He is survived by his brother, Bobby Taylor and his wife Charlotte of Sherman, sister-in-law, Barbara Taylor of Denison, sister of the heart, Melba Howard of Denison, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Roy Gene Taylor's life will be held 2 pm, Saturday, February 18 at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Flanegan will officiate.
