Funeral services for Ruby Helen Wilhelm, 88, of Sherman, TX will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman. Dr. Patrick Mead will officiate. Burial will follow at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.

Ruby passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. She was born on April 28, 1919 in the Smith Oaks Community in Grayson County Texas the daughter of Thomas William and Ethel Lorene (Helms) Scrivner.

She married Philip Herman Wilhelm on May 27, 1936 in Sherman, TX. Mr. Wilhelm preceded her in death on March 17, 1949. Following his death, Ruby continued to raise her five children. She was very giving, she loved her home, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Ruby is survived by her daughter Virgie Carter of Sherman, TX, daughter Wanda Ferguson and husband Glen of Powell Butte, OR, daughter Margie Wilhelm of Sherman, TX, son Philip Wilhelm and wife Jimmie Nell of Savoy, TX, daughter Linda Hope and husband Gerald of Sherman, TX, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Drain of Sherman, TX, Margie Sparks and husband Daniel of York, PA. She is also survived by her special niece Brenda Drain who take care of her, numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Brent Carter, two sisters, Tommie Garrett and Audrey Cox, two sons in law, Leon Carter and Curtis Daniel.

Family Night will be from 7:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Waldo Funeral Home.
