Sandra Kaye Fanning, aged 73, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024, at her home in Denison, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1950, in Sherman, Texas, to F.R. and Nata Hightower. She grew up in Sadler, Texas and was a 1968 graduate of S&S High School. Before retiring, she worked at Bell Helicopter and prior to that Boeing Aircraft where she met lifelong friends. Sandra was very outgoing and loved fishing, the Cowboys and Elvis and never met a stranger. Her family and travel were her two biggest passions. Sandra always had the ability to make anyone smile and laugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Monica Herren and spouse James; son, Eric Fanning and fiancé Miriam; grandchildren, Jesse and Shelby Miller, Cole Miller and fiancé Cassady, Jake Fanning, Peyton Fanning and fiancé Noah and Phoebe Fanning; her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Emmett; sisters, Donna Carden, JoAnne Fanning, Hedy Jones, brother; Steven Hightower; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family, friends, and others are invited to Waldo Funeral Home for family visitation on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on May 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to a memorial service to reminisce and honor Sandra's life.
