IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah Bob
Allen Beaver
August 16, 1941 – June 27, 2024
Sarah Bob Allen Beaver passed from this life June 27th, 2024, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in McKinney, Texas.
She was born August 16th, 1941, in Sherman, TX, to Bennie Ray and Julia Nettie (Ball) Allen. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Sarah Jane Carter Ball and her paternal grandfather, Robert "Bob" Allen.
Shortly after the death of her father in 1948, her mother mailed her through the United States Postal Service to her Ball grandparents in Telephone, TX. She grew up attending Telephone School, playing the piano at church and picking cotton to buy material for school clothes. Her early clothes were made from printed feed sacks.
By age thirteen, she was making her own clothes, keeping her grades up and having a full meal on the table every night when her parents came home from their store in Telephone.
She was blessed with a wonderful stepfather, Ernest Northern. He once told her that she was the best kid he ever had.
She worked 23 years at what is now Denison Industries, and then was Executive Vice President of J. C. Potter Sausage Company for the final five years of her career.
Her retirement years were spent volunteering with the breast cancer support group at the Texoma Health Foundation, doing extensive lineage research for herself and others seeking membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a proud member of DAR, Daughters of the Confederacy, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Her membership certificates take the place of photographs on her computer desk.
She is remembered as a fun loving, happy friend, mother and hostess of dinner parties.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother and stepfather. As well as husband, Ronnie Beaver
She is survived by her sons, Benny (Dawn) Beaver, Teddy (Deb) Beaver, and Scott Beaver, four grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Sarah spent the last of her years making memories with her cherished companion Dr Robert "Bob" Rehmet.
The family will host a Celebration of Life, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 6th, 2024, in the Waldo Family Center in Sherman, TX.
