Obituary

Sheila Kay Heath, AKA Granny Sheila, age 73, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away at home on December 9, 2022, after a yearlong fight with cancer.

Sheila was born on December 11, 1948, to Harold and Eura V. Smith of Richardson, Texas. Sheila attended Richardson High School and soon after graduating she married Claude Ronald Wilson of Dallas, Texas. They welcomed one daughter, Sondra Wilson Clements in March of 1966.

Sheila was known to be quite the "Hot Mess" She was strong willed, stubborn to a fault, and extremely outspoken, even ornery at times, but also had the ability to make you laugh at what she may do or say at any moment. She had a passion for horses and dancing. Sheila was a member of the North Dallas Push Dance Club and won many awards during that journey. These things were her only passion until the birth of her first grandchild in October of 1984, as the family grew her grandchildren and great grandchildren became her main focus in life. Her unique personality and the way she loved was just who she was and different from most, but she loved her family, and she will forever be missed.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Harold Thomas and Eura V. Smith of Richardson, TX; Brother Robert Boyd Walker of Princeton, TX; Grandson John Charles Hartwig of Granbury, TX.

Sheila is survived by beloved aunt, Hazel Marie Adair of Hope, AR; Daughter Sondra Clements and Husband Gary of Whitesboro; Grandchildren, Justin Speake and wife Kate of Melbourne, AR, Angela Booe and husband Shawn of Sherman, Calley Cheaney and husband Bobby of Whitesboro, Joshua Clements of Whitesboro; her pride and joy, her 11 great grandchildren, Kylie, Payson, Maddie, Annabelle, and John Speake of Melbourne, AR. Addison Grace and Kennedy Faith Hartwig of Granbury, Ryleigh Jo Booe of Sherman, TX, Jaylyn Logan, Nate and Hadley Grace Cheaney of Whitesboro, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews of Plano, Sulphur Springs, Whitesboro, and Arkansas, along with many other close friends and family.

The family requests that flowers be sent to 125 Westline Road, Whitesboro, Texas 76273. Sheila wished to be cremated and her only request for her memorial service  to be held outdoors in the spring. Due to this there is no funeral or service immediately planned. The family will notify friends and loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
