Memorial services for Sonny Ulmer, age 55, of Tom Bean, TX will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Cherry Mound Baptist Church with Mickey Wagoner and Wes Willie officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX.

He passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital-WNJ in Sherman, TX.

Sonny was born in Gainesville, TX on December 18, 1957 the son of David and Nona Cravens Ulmer. Sonny was a Die Repairman at Kaiser Aluminum for 36 years. In his spare time, he liked to work in his yard and tinker around a bit. His girls and his family were everything to him and he enjoyed spending all the time he could with them. His grandchildren were also PawPaw's Jellybeans and he adored them all immensely.

He is survived by his three daughters, Amy Hightower and husband Phillip of Sherman, TX, Kayla Fritcher and husband Will of Tioga, TX and Brandy Waters and husband Charlie of Sherman, TX, six grandchildren, Noah Hightower, Gracie Hightower, Maggie Hightower, Kaysn Fritcher, Chase Fritcher and Addison Waters, six brothers and sisters, Norma Jean Hazelwood of Savoy, TX, Glenn Ulmer of Sherman, TX, Don Ulmer and wife Nelda of Pottsboro, TX, Rachel Jones and husband Thomas of Tom Bean, TX, Jerry Ulmer and wife Carolyn of Howe, TX and Linda Morgan and husband Mike of Sherman, TX. Sonny is also survived by his niece and caregiver, Sue Monks and husband James and several additional nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Wanda Wilkerson.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Home Hospice at 505 W. Center Street Sherman, TX 75090.
