Steve Craig Allbritten, a man who truly loved life and never stopped seeking adventure, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 70.
Born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, on June 6, 1955, to Frank Worthy Allbritten and Nancy "Mickey" Miller Allbritten, Steve moved to Bonham, Texas, before the age of three. His lifelong passion for motorcycles began early; by age fourteen, he was already riding - a hobby that would help define who he was.
Steve began his career working for Oscar Mayer in Sherman before transitioning into the medical field as a Biomedical Technician. His work eventually led him to travel extensively across the country, something that suited his adventurous spirit perfectly.
In his personal life, Steve was a devoted father and husband. He first married his high school sweetheart, Margie White, with whom he had two daughters, Alicia and Stacy. He later married Vicki Carter, and together they had two sons, Jonathan and Jesse. In 2010, Steve met his soulmate, Donna. The two married in 2012 and spent their years together traveling, laughing and making unforgettable memories. Through his marriage to Donna, Steve was also blessed with a stepdaughter, Morgan, and a stepson, Cooper, whom he loved as his own.
Steve was a man of many talents and hobbies. An avid snow skier and motorcycle rider, he also enjoyed the patient art of leather tooling—originally picked up to craft his own garb for Renaissance Faires—and brewing beer, a hobby sparked by his father-in-law, who thoughtfully gifted him the equipment knowing it would be something Steve would truly enjoy. After retiring in 2022, Steve and Donna embraced life on the open road, traveling the country and forming lasting friendships wherever they went.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Frank; his mother, Nancy; and his grandson, Isaac Spiller.
Steve leaves behind a legacy of laughter, adventure, and deep love. He is survived by his wife: Donna Allbritten, children: Alicia (Bryant Hicks) of Springfield, TN; Stacy (Robby Meek) of Denison, TX; Jonathan of Ada, OK; and Jesse (Taloa) of Sulphur, OK; his stepchildren, Morgan (Jake Gossett) of Greenville, TX, and Cooper Gudgel of Excelsior Springs, MO; his cherished grandchildren: Joseph, Tony, Kylee, Katie, Nanaiya, Reagan, and Grayson; great granddaughter: Lila, his younger brother, Joe (Lisa) of Bonham, TX; his sister, Diane (Tracy Hall) of Ardmore, OK; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM, followed by services at 2:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
