Steven Rodgers, 62, of Sherman, TX, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Denison, TX.

Steve was born on November 30th, 1963, in Okinawa, Japan, to Jesse William and Rita Rosario (Vasquez) Rodgers. He graduated from Camarillo High School. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Southeastern Oklahoma and his Master's degree from the University of Kentucky.

Steve married Regina Lynn Robertson on March 25th, 2000, in Sherman. He was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Texas Work Force Commission. He devoted his career to helping others.

He loved his family and was so very proud of them.

A lover of music, Steve enjoyed attending rock concerts, especially those of his favorite bands, Rush and Primus.

He was a hunter and a fisherman. He made hunting trips annually but enjoyed being outdoors more than the hunt itself. Watching football games with friends (who were more like family) was an activity that gave him great enjoyment.

Steve is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Rene Rodgers.

Survivors are his wife of 25 years, Gina Rodgers, a daughter, Lauren Rodgers, a son, Gabriel Rodgers, and his parents, Jesse and Rita Rodgers.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

The funeral will be at 10:00 am, on Saturday, December 27th, in the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Nathan Cain of Harvest Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Brister, Denny Callahan, Joe Smith, Kyle Rothenberger, Brad Williams, and Garrett Godwin.
