IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven Lee
Broomall
February 14, 1966 – January 2, 2023
Steven Lee Broomall, 56 years old, passed away at his home in Van Alstyne Texas late evening January 2 nd 2023. He was born February 14 th 1966 in Los Angeles California.
Known affectionately as "Stevie" he spent his early years in Louisiana where he grew a love and passion for traditional Cajun cuisine and fishing. Eventually making his way to Las Vegas Nevada in the 1990's where took work on as a high-end piano mover. He loved that job and meeting several celebrities in the process.
In Las Vegas, he met the true love of his life in 2007 Kristi Emerson. Kristi comes from an incredibly large and loving family where Stevie was welcomed with open arms. They were inseparable and were each others best friends. They enjoyed cooking together and a little gambling when the time was right. Stevie never really had the close, tight-knit family that Kristi did and loved every moment having Kristi's family as his own. Stevie really enjoyed being a grandpa to his eight grandchildren and he always spoiled them with love, yummy food and a few surprise pranks! Kristi and Stevie tied the knot on December 1 st 2018 in Las Vegas Nevada.
Big changes and opportunities came their way in 2019 when they made the move from Boulder City Nevada to Van Alstyne Texas along with the rest of the family. A huge lifestyle change coming from the hot desert to country living is where he truly felt at peace and could finally retire with his wife Kristi.
They made their home together on "the ranch" for the next several years where he spent his time perfecting his gumbo, making memories with his family and being reunited with his younger brother Jeff after 30 years. Stevie and Jeff enjoyed "gaming" together and also snuck in a fishing trip with their wives Kristi and Laura. Stevie even got a surprise visit from his cousin Jeff Nansen and his wife Sandra in 2022. Stevie loved reconnecting with his family.
Stevie sure loved a good conversation, had the most contagious laugh and was a humble man with a huge heart.
Stevie "Beaver" Broomall is survived by his loving wife Kristi Emerson-Broomall, Jeff Broomall (brother), Jeff's wife Laura Broomall, Carol Broomall (sister), Terri Sczcypkowski (sister) and nieces Lauren and Sharie.
Stevie's extended family includes Karley Emerson, Chris and Kasey Mangin and Charles and Amy Emerson. His Grandchildren Brittany Granillo, Mason Chakos (Brittany's boyfriend), Ariel and Bella Lopez, Cruz, Mazzy, Max and Jaxson Mangin and Hannah and Charlie Emerson.
A celebration of life, Cajun style, will be held in his honor at the ranch sometime in February at a time and date to be determined.
