Terry Tate, age 62, of Sherman ascended to his eternal home Saturday, April 22 ^nd at Texoma Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Terry Lloyd Tate was born March 9, 1961, in Sherman, Tx to the late William and Cynthia Tate. Terry accepted Jesus and was baptized at an early age of ten years old at Harmony Baptist Church. Presently, he was a devoted member of Progressive Baptist Church.

He attended Sherman High School, graduating and awarded with a scholarship to Western University in basketball. Worked at Grayson County Jail as a TurnKey, Johnson & Johnson, Driver for Tapps and currently Driver for Real Time Transportation Corp.

Terry has a passion for sports! In Sherman and Denison, he enjoyed being an Umpire for Basketball, Football, and Baseball. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

He loved going to church and serving God and sharing God's Word with everyone. HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED!

Terry leaves to cherish his memories, Brother Robert & wife Patricia Lowell, Sister and husband Cecilia & Ronnie Boyd, and Brother Gary Lowell. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A public visitation will be Friday, April 28 ^th from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, April 29 ^th at 11 A.M. at Progressive Baptist Church, 1101 E. Houston St., Sherman, with Rev. Craig Davis officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery.
